New Product Launch at Formnext 2025: UnionTech Debuts 4-Laser RSPro800 X and RA900 SLA Printers
UnionTech is set to unveil two new stereolithography (SLA) systems at Formnext 2025: the RSPro800 X and the RA900. These launches strengthen UnionTech’s position as a full-solution provider covering 3D printers, software, materials, and services for sectors including automotive prototyping, investment casting, and tyre-mould manufacturing.
RSPro800 X – the industry’s first four-laser, large-format SLA printer (800 × 800 × 550 mm) that prints 60 % faster and costs 50 % less than previous system, setting a new speed record for industrial SLA.
RA900 – a dual-laser SLA cell purpose-built for volume production of tyre moulds; 950 × 550 × 400 mm build volume, four medium-sized tread moulds in 36 h (<10 h per mould), replacing traditional CNC workflows that take 2–3 weeks.
Four live take-aways for visitors
Speed re-defined – RSPro800 X parallelises four solid-state Nd:YVO₄ lasers, delivers ±0.1 mm accuracy at 0.05 mm layer thickness. Automotive, aerospace and consumer-electronics OEMs gain a true “bigger, faster, cheaper” route to large prototypes and short-run end-use parts.
Volume optimised – RA900 with UT-ONE software for one-click nesting and support generation; achieves Ra <3.5 µm surface finish, ±0.1 mm dimensional accuracy and <0.05 mm roundness deviation—critical for ventless, insert-free tyre moulds. Continuous-run stability exceeds 95 %, enabling zero-inventory, lot-size-one manufacturing.
Visual impact – a 1.5 m one-piece automotive dashboard printed in 68 h on the RSPro2100 will be on display—fully touchable and assembly-ready.
Materials wall – ten industrial resins open for sampling, including TempR220 (HDT >220 °C) and the high-impact TUF series, covering auto, aerospace and investment-casting applications.
End-to-end digital additive manufacturing
Tyre moulds – 130+ RA-series printers already installed worldwide; one leading tool shop reports 80 % shorter lead times and 35 % lower part cost.
Investment casting – SLA resin patterns replace metal dies, producing Aircraft Engine Blade Investment Casting in three hours with ±0.1 % accuracy and 90 % cost reduction.
Auto R&D – full-size dash, lamp housing and HVAC cases printed in one shot, compressing design iterations from six weeks to seven days and accelerating time-to-market.
