Breaking through Technical Bottlenecks: Exploring the UnionTech Multiple Galvanometer Scanners System

The technology of 3D printing using multiple scanners is an effective and accurate method that allows for high-speed and precision 3D printing. It achieves this by using several scanners to direct the movement of the light beam.

Synchronous OperationDouble Speed

Multi-scanner 3D printing simplifies optical system design and reduces costs with a multi-laser approach. However, synchronizing multiple lasers is currently challenging. UnionTech's R&D team developed algorithms and system upgrades to achieve synchronized laser control, doubling printing speed and efficiency. But the scanner causes significant shape distortion and current manual calibration methods are inaccurate and inefficient. UnionTech's automatic calibration technology achieves 1798 calibration points using precise positioning without large calibration plates. With a spot position detector, the fully automated process has 0.06-0.1mm accuracy and is unaffected by human factors, ensuring stability and accuracy.

Original Splicing Shows Excellent Mechanical Properties

UnionTech's R&D team is focused on improving the splicing overlap area of uniontech 3d printer. They have implemented a new splicing scanning algorithm that seamlessly joins the two sides of the same molding part scanned by adjacent scanners. This results in an increased contact area between the two sides, ensuring excellent mechanical properties of the molding part in the splicing area. UnionTech's "cross splicing" technology ensures that the surface quality of the molded parts in the splicing area and their mechanical properties are maintained. These properties are similar to the molded parts scanned independently by the same scanner, with over 90% similarity.

Dr. Qingxiao Yu, VP and GM of R&D at UnionTech, said the company is devoted to innovative tech. They've developed China's first large format multi-scanner auto-calibration tech, ensuring stable and precise calibration of multiple scanners. This guarantees molding accuracy and correction of scanning distortion. The multi-scanner stitching calibration tech ensures deviation is less than half a light spot, while UnionTech's splicing tech ensures mechanical properties are nearly identical. These innovations produce accurate, high-quality, and strong one-piece parts. UnionTech provides efficient solutions for large part production.
