SL material performance development seems to have out-paced some industry information outlets.
The following statement was excerpted from a current on- line SLA 3D Printing Design Guide: “The nature of SLA resins means that parts are brittle, not as stable as other 3D printed materials over long periods of time…..”
The frame of reference of that author is unclear , but industrial strength SL materials (355nm) have evolved significantly since the early years. View this legacy video from 2012 for a practical example of the stiff- but- tough capabilities of today’s industrial strength SL materials.
Somos® NeXt is widely used still today and is available for use in UnionTech’s commercial PILOT series as well as the RSPro production series.
